Lack of sleep is not only making you tired, but it has other consequences as weight issues.
Why does sleep impact our weight
Appetite is mainly regulated by two hormones Leptin and Ghrelin. When you miss some sleeps, Leptin is down and Leptin tells your body you're full. At this moment, your brain sends out signal that you're hungry ( even if you don't need to eat). the longer you're awake, the more time you have to eat, so refrain from snacking. You can drink a glass of water to see if that fills you up instead.
Exercise : you’re less likely to exercise because you’re too tired to go for a walk or head to the gym.Not only will regular exercise help you lose weight, but it can also make it easier for you to sleep. Warning : If you normally have troubling sleeping, don't exercise within a few hours of bedtime.
And stick to regular bedtimes, keep phones, computers, and TVs out of the bedroom
